Beginning in 2012, Heart of God International Ministries (HGIM) will be hosting an annual World Outreach Mission to a specific area as led by the Holy Spirit.  HGIM is hosting an evangelistic ministry outreach in 2012 with an outreach to London / Cardiff.  The goal is to take a team of missionaries into areas where there will be great opportunity for evangelism, to help both men and women use their gifts and talents to bring God glory, and ultimately to make His name known among the nations.

As believers, each one of us are mandated by Christ Himself to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all living creatures” … this is not something we need to wait for a specific call to do since the Lord gave this commission to ALL believers.  HGIM feels it is of paramount importance to offer men and women from every walk of life the opportunity to join a team in response to the Great Commission.  The annual World Outreach Mission program is just one way we’re doing this as several other ministry-specific mission trips are available through HGIM (click here for more information).

Evangelistic Team Forming Now

HGIM is looking for people interested in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with visitors to London/Cardiff from all over the globe during the summer of 2012.  You will be joining a team of people willing to step out of their comfort zones to proclaim the Good News to all nations, but in this case, rather than “going” to the nations, the nations will be gathering in one central location.  If you’re looking for a unique adventure in missions, you’ve found it!

We are sending a team of evangelists to the London/Cardiff area for 8 days to engage visitors from all over the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There will be throngs of visitors pouring into London passing through the airports, the restaurants and eateries, the hotels and other places of lodging, the stores, the trains, etc. during the time we will be there, providing amazing opportunities to share the Gospel with those who are there to enjoy their nation’s athletes perform on international levels. For an international ministry like HGIM, this is a perfect opportunity to respond to Jesus’ great commission to us all to “go” even though folks from every nation will be coming to a common meeting place.

Drama Teams and Musicians Needed

If you are part of a group who does drama or skits with a strong salvation message, we want to talk to you!  Because we will be working in a multi-language atmosphere, drama and skits that communicate without the use of words would be ideal.  This means we are looking for a young adult team or teams who are accustomed to working together and have a call to evangelism through drama.

We’re also looking for musicians who can easily communicate the message of God’s love and salvation without the need for sound systems and elaborate back-up instruments.  A single guitar and a heart for the lost communicated through the gift of music … that’s the what’s needed. Considering the fact that we’ll be in an atmosphere where many people don’t speak fluent English, the ability to be led by the Spirit of God and communicate in song will be a tremendous blessing on this Outreach.

Who Can Go?

Because this will need to be a focused team that is prepared spiritually, emotionally, and physically for the challenges of evangelism in crowded venues, we are accepting applications to fill the 20 open spots on the team.

Each team member will be required to attend a training session (hopefully a webinar) hosted by HGIM’s Minister of Evangelism, Scott Ingram.  Scott will be working with each team member to prepare them to share the Gospel directly and with loving compassion yet without compromise.  Because people of all faiths as well as those with no faith will be present, each team member will need to be prepared to encounter any possible scenario.  If you are sensitive to rejection, this mission may not be for you.  However, if you are strong in your faith and can communicate it clearly and passionately, you are just who we’re looking for to complete this 2012 World Outreach Team called to carry the Greatest Gift known to mankind — the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

How Much Will the Trip Cost?

The all-inclusive price from Chicago, Illinois (ORD) for this trip is $2,499.00 per person. There is a $100 discount for completed applications and deposits postmarked by December 15, 2011 by qualified applicants. This price includes all departure taxes and fees, airfare, lodging, two meals a day, travel insurance, ground transportation, ministry materials, and anything extra planned as group activities. The trip fee also includes everything necessary to minister such as materials, tracts, give-aways, gifts, etc.

You will be responsible for your Passport Fee (if necessary), travel to and from Chicago (ORD), your immunizations (if necessary), and travel incidentals such as souvenirs, snacks, etc. Please note that the trip fee must be paid in full prior to departure; this is not negotiable. Please see the payment schedule on the application for incremental deadlines; signing the application constitutes a formal agreement to these terms and serves as a binding contract for your financial commitment to this Outreach.

We have carefully constructed this budget to make this a “bare-bones” trip so those who are called will be able to raise the funding to cover their trip fee.  If a team member is diligent about pursuing the avenues of funding suggested, he or she should have no problem whatsoever.  We maintain that if God calls you to a mission, He will make it possible.  What He requires is obedience, diligence, and prayer!

Trip Dates

The 2012 World Outreach is scheduled between July 25 and August 2, 2012. The flight will leave Chicago (ORD) on July 25th and return on August 2, 2012.  Each team member will be responsible for their travel arrangements to and from Chicago (ORD) and be available to meet no less than three (3) hours prior to departure at a pre-designated location. HGIM is available to help you make these arrangements if needed; however, please note that the financial obligation for travel to and from Chicago rests on the individual team member. This portion of your trip is not included in your trip fee.

Where Will We Be and What Will We Be Doing?

Although we are in the organizational phase of setting up the plans for this exciting spiritual adventure, we have a fair idea of where the majority of our activities will take place.  Thanks to dear friends in Wales, we will be spending most days in Cardiff at a highly-trafficked location key to this outreach.  Because it is our plan to keep the costs down as much as possible, a lot of sight-seeing will not be a part of this trip although it would be hard to miss many of the sights and sounds of England and Wales.  The focus is evangelism and the team members should expect to fill their days with contacts from all across the globe to share their testimonies and the Gospel.

HGIM is developing specific printed material that will be made available to each team member to hand out as they engage individuals.  We have a team of volunteers forming who will assist in writing this material specifically for this and future annual outreaches as the Lord leads.

We anticipate that a lot of work will take place in highly-trafficked places such as restaurants and eateries, hotels and places of lodging, train stations, airports, bus and taxi stations, etc.  Because security will be an issue, our team will be wearing name tags and HGIM shirts, and will work together at all times.  These guidelines will be clearly defined during the team training seminar(s).

What Ages Will Be Accepted?

Because of potential liability, we prefer not to take anyone under the age of 18.  However, if you are part of a drama team or if you have a teen who is interested and who you feel is qualified to participate, please contact us directly.   We want the Lord to appoint this team and we will remain open to youth if they are spiritually and emotionally mature and who will accept the rules of engagement and leadership.  We would like to see a wide range of ages, from young to old.

Additional Information

Please note that all trip fees are tax deductible.  Each team member will have a separate account which will be tracked by HGIM’s Accounting Department.  Any donations received in your name from sponsors, family, and/or friends will be applied to your trip fee and the donor will receive a tax receipt for their sponsorship donation.  Each team member will receive a “Donor Page” to use to communicate details about the trip and encourage friends/contacts to donate on their behalf.  There is no cost for this service.  Any sponsorship letters will be sent official letterhead; if the team member wishes to send sponsorship letters via USPS, a customized letter printed on official HGIM letterhead will be created and copies provided to the team member.  Other fundraising helps will be made available upon request. A copy of the fundraising policy will be provided to each new applicant upon receipt of their deposit.

How Can I Pray?

Prayer is the key to any successful evangelistic outreach and the 2012 World Outreach is no exception. As you pray, please include the following areas of need:

• Pray for everyone called to this Outreach as they make the initial contact and begin the process of preparing for ministry to men, women and children in a unique setting.
• Pray for each Team Member’s financial commitment to this Outreach as they raise their funding, meeting every deadline.
• Pray for the Writing Team as they use their God-given talents and skills to produce unique material for distribution; pray God’s abundant blessings on each one who volunteers their time and talents.
• Pray for the Drama Team(s) God is calling to participate in this Outreach, that they will make themselves available and useful tools for the Spirit of God to communicate the Gospel through their gifts and talents.
• Pray for the Leadership as plans continue to be made and the details of the outreach are worked out.
• Pray for every man, woman and child who will be encountered with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that their hearts would be open and they would clearly understand their need for a Savior, responding quickly and sincerely.
• Pray as we develop a plan for discipleship for those who respond to the message of salvation.
