HGIM Mission
Heart of God International Ministries, Inc., an all-volunteer 501c3 not-for-profit organization, partners together with like-minded organizations to demonstrate the eternal love of Jesus Christ. HGIM is an evangelistic ministry; everything we do points to and communicates the Gospel of Jesus Christ. HGIM believes we, as the Body of Christ, are commanded to "go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all living creatures" according to the Great Commission. We take the word "preach" very literally as we are sent to various places across the globe. However, we fully understand that preaching also includes our actions, services, and expressions of love as we minister the Gospel to those in need through the heart of servants, being a friend, and loving unconditionally. While HGIM never offers humanitarian assistance without clearly expressing the message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, we strive to maintain a balance weighing heavily on the side of evangelism and minoring on humanitarian relief efforts, all to the Glory of God.

Nurses Poisoned at the Civil Hospital Karachi
Eleven Nurses including eight Christian nurses were poisoned at the Civil Hospital, Karachi for eating in Ramadan. According to the Civil hospital administration Rita, Anila and Rafia along with 8 other nurses were eating in the hostel cafeteria in Ramadan (Muslim month for f
asting).
In Pakistan it is strictly prohibited to eat anything in public during the Muslim fasting, but the hospitals and the people traveling are exempted from this. Unfortunately at the Civil Hospital the Muslim staff was not in the favor that the non-Muslims were eating openly in the cafeteria. They had shown their reservations in the past.
On Monday afternoon a group of nurses after their duty went to the hostel cafeteria and ordered to eat and have tea, unfortunately the tea was poisoned. Rita one of the Catholic nurse immediately collapsed and was rushed to the ICU ( Intensive Care unit), her condition is deteriorating. The rest are being treated in the emergency wards.
The Civil hospital Administration has ordered an inquiry for the incident. The Administration has refused to give any statements on the situation.
The civil society and the Human Rights organization Life for All have strongly condemned the incident. ” We condemn the inhuman act, one of the nurses is on ventilator fighting for her life, the rest are fighting the same fight in the emergency. What is their fault? Did they try to kill someone? Or commit a crime serious enough to be poisoned? The administration and the police are probing the incident. We need to work together for a tolerant society. This act reveals that our society is lacking tolerance, someone couldn’t tolerate that these nurses were eating in Ramadan, so they poisoned them. The nurses who save the lives of the people are fighting for their own lives due to some ignorant person. This is a inhuman act and must be condemned. We demand the authorities to lodge a FIR for attempted murder. ”
